Mass Times and Intentions

FR PASCHAL'S LEAVING CELEBRATION: Saturday 31st August at Holy Name, Canon Wilson Hall after the 6pm Mass. All are very welcome to attend. If anyone could help make the event a beautiful celebration of Fr Paschal's ministry, please contact the Parish Office.

ASSUMPTION: Thursday 15th August is the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a Holy Day of Obligation. Extra Masses are available across the Linked Parishes.

SVP FAMILY FUN DAY 14th AUGUST:
Thank you for your response to our pulpit appeal at St Augustine towards the cost of the Family Fun Day - with Gift Aid we have raised £564. (It's not too late to donate if you would like to!) We are extremely grateful to the team at St John Payne for allowing us to use their facilities and for all the wonderful offers of help we've received so far. Please contact Veronica or another member of the Springfield Conference if you can come along to help on Wednesday and please pray for a dry day!

SVP FUNDRAISING FOR SOUTH SUDAN
- Save the Date - 28th September - Hall of Games. We're trying something a bit different to our usual quiz format - please save the date and come along for an evening of games and team challenges at St. Augustines. More details to follow.
Walsingham House Anniversary Mass: This year marks 60 years since the opening of Walsingham House and 40 years since the first volunteer team took residence. There will be a Mass of Thanksgiving on Saturday 31st Aug at Noon celebrated by Bishop Alan in the grounds of Walsingham House at Abbotswick. Everyone is very welcome to attend with a special invite to all who have been part of the Walsingham House team over the last 40 years. After Mass you are welcome to stay for a picnic in the grounds.

ADVANCE NOTICE MASS CHANGE:
From Friday the 6th September the St Philip's Mass at 7:30am will be moving down to Our Lady Immaculate Church with refreshments after in the Church Hall.
Walsingham House Retreat Manager: Walsingham House at Abbotswick, the youth retreat centre for the Diocese of Brentwood, are seeking to appoint a Retreat Manager. The Retreat Manager will work to ensure the smooth and efficient running of retreats, leading and training the volunteer team, and developing the programmes on offer to schools and parishes. Walsingham House has an excellent reputation for the quality of the retreats offered and after a year to rebuild we are keen to develop this further. PARISH PARTNERSHIP YOUTH CO-ORDINATOR IN ROMFORD:
Inspire, nurture and accompany young people on the edge of East London. The parishes in the Romford Parish Partnership are recruiting a Parish Partnership Youth Coordinator. Salary £30,000/year, closing date September 10th 2024, start date no later than January 2025.

MARCH FOR LIFE UK: Saturday 7th September. In the morning of March for Life we will be hosting a ‘Pro-life Health Summit’ 10.30-12.30 in The Emmanuel Centre where a variety of healthcare specialists will be looking in greater detail at our theme ‘Abortion isn’t Healthcare’.
