CAFOD CREAM TEA AT HOLY NAME: We will be holding our annual Strawberry Cream Tea with the promise of a glass of Pimms on Tuesday 16th July at 2.30.pm in the Canon Wilson Hall at Holy Name. All very welcome.

Youth 2000 Summer Festival 2024: takes place from Friday 23rd August - Monday 26th August 2024 in the beautiful surroundings of Ampleforth Abbey, North Yorkshire. This festival is an opportunity for young people (aged 16-35) from across the UK to grow in their relationship with God, form friendships and be inspired to live out their faith! Tickets (which include food and accommodation) can be purchased from www.youth2000.org/events. Tickets are also available for priests, religious, families and groups. FIRST HOLY COMMUNION NEW HALL PHOTOS AND CERTIFICATES: Memory sticks with the photographs from the New Hall celebration will be available to pick up from the Parish office from Monday the 8th July. For those who were unable to attend the New Hall Celebration Mass, certificates are also available to be collected from the Parish Office or please email if you would like them to sent out to homes.

SVP Coffee Morning Sunday 21st July:
The SVP will be serving coffee, tea and soft drinks, as well as delicious home baked cakes after 9.00 am and 12.00 am Masses. All are warmly welcome.

"Adoremus” Festival at Oscott College:
On Saturday, 14th September at Oscott College in Birmingham, the “Adoremus” National Eucharistic Congress and Pilgrimage is taking place with representatives from dioceses across England and Wales. Our diocese has been allocated 43 places. There will be a coach leaving for the Congress from Brentwood Cathedral at 8am on the day. There is no charge for the coach or attending the Congress but you will need to bring a packed lunch. If you would like to attend please contact the Diocesan Co-ordinator, Father Dan Mason at frdanmason@brcdt.org

CAN YOU HELP THE KNIGHTS OF ST COLUMBA?
The Knights of St Columba are looking to help refugees in local temporary accommodation. There is a requirement for Men's clothing only, specifically trousers and shorts (jeans, joggers or chinos) and for teaching aids, A4 notebooks, pens and pencils. Please leave your donations in the labelled box at the back of the all Churches. Your donations will be collected by the Knights after the Sunday Masses on the 13th/14th July and 20th / 21st July. This is an opportunity to join with our Christian brothers and sisters to spread the Good News of the Gospel with all.

Walsingham House Anniversary Mass:
This year marks 60 years since the opening of Walsingham House and 40 years since the first volunteer team took residence. There will be a Mass of Thanksgiving on Saturday 31st Aug at Noon celebrated by Bishop Alan in the grounds of Walsingham House at Abbotswick. Everyone is very welcome to attend with a special invite to all who have been part of the Walsingham House team over the last 40 years. After Mass you are welcome to stay for a picnic in the grounds.

MARANATHA AN EVENING WITH MASS: celebrated by Fr Paschal Uche and followed by Prayer and Praise will be held at the Sion Community Chapel, Sawyers Hall Lane, Brentwood, CM15 9BX at 7pm - 9pm on Thursday 18th July. Please pass the message on to anyone you think will be interested in coming with you to this Charismatic evening which is full of hope and joy.
Open House Billericay: On Saturday, 12th October the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Billericay will be hosting a day focusing on parish renewal with talks and workshops designed to help parishes transition from maintenance to mission. Bishop Alan will also be presiding at the Midday Mass. Get inspired by priests and parishioners as they share stories of transformation. Hear what they are learning and dream about the change that could be possible in your own parish. The day will last from 9.30am to 5pm and the cost is £20 per person. DIVINE MERCY DEVOTIONS: Take place in Holy Name Parish Church after the 7:30pm Mass on Monday 15th July. All are very welcome to join in the prayers with the group.
Support for the Denis Hurley Centre: Phil Perrier wishes to say thank you for your support of the recent tombola. The parishes across Chelmsford raised £668 which will enable the Denis Hurley Centre to provide life-saving healthcare to over 150 homeless people and refugees on the streets of Durban. Walsingham House Retreat Manager: Walsingham House at Abbotswick, the youth retreat centre for the Diocese of Brentwood, are seeking to appoint a Retreat Manager. The Retreat Manager will work to ensure the smooth and efficient running of retreats, leading and training the volunteer team, and developing the programmes on offer to schools and parishes. Walsingham House has an excellent reputation for the quality of the retreats offered and after a year to rebuild we are keen to develop this further. If you or a member of your family go into hospital, or are sick and housebound, please inform the Parish Office so a priest or the Legion of Mary can visit you.
