FR PASCHAL'S LEAVING CELEBRATION: Is on Saturday 31st August at Holy Name, Canon Wilson Hall after the 6pm Mass. The Hall will be open to all from 7pm. There will be a light finger buffet available, please bring-a-plate with with you to add to the spread, which includes cake, sausage rolls and drinks. Thank you to all who have offered their help in making it a fitting celebration in thanksgiving for Fr Paschal's ministry to our Parishes.

SVP FUNDRAISING FOR SOUTH SUDAN - Save the Date - 28th September - Hall of Games. We're trying something a bit different to our usual quiz format - please save the date and come along for an evening of games and team challenges at St Augustine's Church. More details to follow.

WALSINGHAM HOUSE ANNIVERSARY MASS AND CELEBRATION: Walsingham House at Abbotswick, Saturday 31st August. Join us for Mass celebrated by Bishop Alan at 12pm, followed by a picnic in the beautiful grounds of Walsingham House at Abbotswick throughout the afternoon.
Whether in Chingford, Canvey Island or Abbotswick, we have been blessed with 40 years of volunteer teams at our vibrant Diocesan Youth Retreat Centre “Walsingham House”. ADVANCE NOTICE MASS CHANGE: From Friday the 6th September the St Philip's Mass at 7:30am will be moving down to Our Lady Immaculate Church with refreshments after in the Church Hall.

PARISH PARTNERSHIP YOUTH CO-ORDINATOR IN ROMFORD: Inspire, nurture and accompany young people on the edge of East London. The parishes in the Romford Parish Partnership are recruiting a Parish Partnership Youth Coordinator. Salary £30,000/year, closing date September 10th 2024, start date no later than January 2025.

For anyone in year 9 and above, join us for a weekend of speakers, workshops, prayer and more, alongside the opportunity to try high ropes, archery or climbing at the amazing Essex Outdoors in East Mersea. BBQ and Mass for young adults: Our Lady Immaculate, Chelmsford, Sunday 8th September: If you are 18+, having left school, from 1st September then you are very welcome to join a group of young adults for a BBQ from 3pm with Mass at 7pm, at Our Lady Immaculate Church in Chelmsford. No need to book, simply come along to meet other young adult Catholics and find out more about upcoming events just for you!

WALSINGHAM HOUSE RETREAT MANAGER: Walsingham House at Abbotswick, the youth retreat centre for the Diocese of Brentwood, are seeking to appoint a Retreat Manager. The Retreat Manager will work to ensure the smooth and efficient running of retreats, leading and training the volunteer team, and developing the programmes on offer to schools and parishes. MARCH FOR LIFE UK: Saturday 7th September. In the morning of March for Life we will be hosting a ‘Pro-life Health Summit’ 10.30-12.30 in The Emmanuel Centre where a variety of healthcare specialists will be looking in greater detail at our theme ‘Abortion isn’t Healthcare’.
