MASSES FOR DECEASED LOVED ONES: Will be held at 7:30PM on the following dates:
St. Augustine of Canterbury - Friday 15th November.The Church of the Holy Name - Friday 22nd November.
Our Lady Immaculate - Friday 29th November.
Additionally Priests will be available for Grave Blessings at Lawns Cemetery on Sunday 10th November at 3pm
LINKED PARISHES CHRISTMAS FAYRE – SUNDAY 24th NOVEMBER: It is now only two weeks until our Christmas Fayre. Donations of toiletries, new items, jewellery, bottles of alcohol, toys, and Christmas foods are particularly needed. All donations very much appreciated and can be left in the boxes available at the back of our churches. Thank you in advance for supporting this very enjoyable event, which raises much needed funds for the Parishes. For any enquiries and offers of help, please contact Anne on (01245) 257463.
Donations of cakes for the Christmas Fayre would be gratefully received and can be left at OLI Hall on Friday 22nd November or brought in on the day to OLI School Hall. With many thanks.
Christmas Draw tickets: Just a reminder that sold Christmas draw ticket counterfoils can be put in an envelope with the money and placed in the Sunday Mass collection basket or left at the parish office. If you could return any unsold tickets we can then resell them. Please try to sell as many as you can. All proceeds to our parishes. £300 first prize, large Christmas Hamper second prize and many more lovely prizes to be won. With many thanks.
Pilgrims of Hope 2025 across our Chelmsford Catholic Parish Partnership: The penultimate of our Linked Parish Prayer talks in preparation for the Pilgrim Year of Hope beginning in Advent is on Thursday 21st November at 7:30PM in Blessed Sacrament Church on "St Ignatius and discernment in Prayer," with Bishop Alan Williams.
NOVEMBER LISTS OF THE DEAD: During the month of November, Masses are offered for the repose of the souls whose names are placed on the sanctuary during the month of November. Envelopes and lists are available at the back of the churches, please return to a Priest, Sacristan or Parish office.

Thank you TO ALL for the flapjack morning at Holy Name: and who have also since given generous donations to Mary's Meals. At least 18 children will be fed for a whole year thanks to your support. Knights of St. Columba Retreat at Worth Abbey: The Knights of St next year and we are inviting parishioners to join us. It will be the weekend of March 7 - 9, 2025, the first weekend of Lent, and the cost will be about £200 (per person depending slightly on numbers and what we plan to do). in the past it has been a very rewarding weekend in a peaceful rural setting with very comfortable accommodation and very nice food. We will require a deposit of £50 per person as we have had to pay a deposit ourselves. MARANATHA - Our next meeting is on Thursday 15th November, at the Sion Community, Sawyers Hall Lane, Brentwood, CM15 9BX. Come and join us for Mass, Eucharistic Adoration and Prayer and Praise, everyone is very welcome. Mass begins at 7.00pm and the evening ends at 9.00 followed by refreshments in the dining hall. All welcome.
SVP St. Augustine of Canterbury, Springfield Conference. Next Sunday, 17th November we will be launching our annual Giving Tree appeal, at the nine o’clock mass. We will be asking you to select a gift tag with a present suggestion for a child from one of the families we support. The suggested amount to spend is between £10 and £15. We ask you to return the presents, unwrapped to St. Augustine’s Church by Sunday 8th December. Thank you again for your continued support for all we do.
SVP Chelmsford – Christmas Gifts. We would like your help in reaching out to those in need by providing gifts for children and adults this Christmas.
